Laser Skin Resurfacing
Laser treatment of the skin is used to treat skin problems caused by aging and sun damage e.g. wrinkles, pigmentation, superficial skin lesions. It is commonly combined with other facial procedures such as facelift and eyelid surgery.
CO2 laser resurfacing has a limited role in the treatment of acne and other facial scars.
Small areas can be treated under local anaesthetic, but larger areas need general anaesthetic. Healing times vary from a few days to 2 weeks or so, and special skincare and makeup may be needed for 2 months after treatment.
