Paediatric Diabetes Team
The Wellington Paediatric Diabetes Team is led by a Paediatric Endocrinologist, and consists of three Paediatric and Adolescent Clinical Nurse Specialists, and a Specialist Diabetes Dietitian. They will take diabetes referrals for under 16 year olds from the Capital & Coast DHB region and hold regular multidisciplinary team clinics at the three hospital sites. Children with symptoms will be seen immediately via the Children's Acute Assessment Unit (CAAU) or by a Paediatric Registrar in the Emergency Department at Wellington Hospital.
