Specialist Community Palliative Care
Our specialist Palliative Care team works holistically with the patient and the family of the patient. Their work is mainly in the community, caring for patients living at home or in residential care. Regular nursing clinics are also held at Hospice House in Beach Road.
Scheduled visits are made during normal business hours. After hours visits or phone support is available. Inpatient hospice care is accessible for complex and/or high specialist palliative care needs.
Hospice West Auckland exists so that people with life-limiting illness in West Auckland, those at the end of life and those who grieve for them, experience death as a dignified and compassionately supported process.
