Severe tooth decay, gum disease, infection or trauma may lead to the necessary removal of a tooth. Your dentist may prefer to refer you to a specialist. If you have private medical insurance, depending on what policy you have, this treatment may be covered, if carried out by a registered oral & maxillofacial surgeon.
