Formerly Northland DHB High Risk Foot Clinic

The High Risk Foot Clinic is a specialist secondary podiatry service that provides management of the acute and active diabetic foot. This includes diabetic foot and wound assessments, treatment, and working closely with other health services to manage diabetic foot complications.

What We Don't See

The High Risk Foot Clinic is unable to provide treatment for the following foot conditions: General nail and feet care (long nails, calluses, cracked feet) Ingrown nail surgery Plantar fasciitis Sports injuries Verrucae Bunions Morton’s Neuroma Congenital deformities Please discuss with your GP to arrange a referral to another appropriate provider or service. This may be to a fully funded community podiatry service or to a private podiatrist which needs to be paid for by you.

What We Do See

We provide treatment for patients with ulcers and wounds on their feet that are caused by diabetes. We do not provide a nail cutting service.
