About The Group
The Guillain Barré Syndrome (GBS) Support Group was set up in 1997. Our role is to supply information to patients and their families about GBS and to offer support. Where possible a personal representative will visit the hospital and speak to both patient and family. We have handbooks, information sheets etc that can be handed on to patients and families.
We put out a quarterly newsletter that has updates re: GBS and usually contains at least one personal encounter from someone who has experienced GBS.
We aim to hold a national conference every two years - the next (our fifth), will be held on Saturday May 1st 2010 at the Psychology Department of Massey University at 1:00 pm
