We are a clinical mental health team specialising in the assessment and treatment of Pacific ethnic persons aged 18 to 64 who reside within the Counties Manukau District Health region.
We have expertise in the areas of culturally appropriate psychiatric assessments, mental health promotion and effective communication with Pacific consumers and families. We provide extensive networks among our Pacific communities and provide skills in mental health research and education. We also assist mainstream services respond to the needs of Pacific people.
About our Team
Faleola is a team of experienced mental health professionals skilled in working with people with serious mental health problems and also skilled in speaking one or more Pacific languages. The team includes staff from Tonga, Niue, Samoa, Fiji and the Cook Islands who are:
