Inpatient Unit
The 13-bed hospice inpatient unit is at 61 College Hill, Ponsonby.
Patients are admitted for:
- symptom management – review of troublesome symptoms such as pain, nausea & vomiting
- respite care – usually for a week at a time, to allow time-out for carers and family members
- care in the final days of life – if care at home is no longer possible.
