Waitemata DHB Home Care for Kids Service
Working together in partnership with your family/whanau, our vision is to see optimal quality of life and health for your children.
If your child requires ongoing care at home we provide comprehensive home based specialist nursing services.
Our team of experienced community nurses is available to all sick children from birth to adolescence.
Our hours of operation are Monday to Sunday 8am - 5.00pm
In our case management role we:
- offer help and support to families/whanau
- facilitate and follow up hospital discharges
- provide short and long-term follow up for children
- liaise with other health professionals to provide the most effective and efficient care available.
(Note: Speech Language Therapists and Dietitians formerly based in Home Care for Kids are now part of the Child Development team.)
