Intracerebral Hemorrhage

Intracerebral haematomas (ICH) are mostly due to high blood pressure. They can be also caused by aneurysms, brain tumours, head injury as well as other causes.

ICH can be life threatening thus needs to be evacuated by a craniotomy, if the patient is deteriorating with increasing neurological defecit or loss of consciousness.
