Interventional Clinic
Following a full medical assessment, sometimes it is deemed that interventions are appropriate and the patients are booked for interventional procedures such as an epidural, caudal and facet joint injections, infusions of calcitonin or a sympathetic block for peripheral vascular disease. These procedures are booked by the treating physician and occur either in the operating theatre procedure room or at the radiology suite.
Other interventions like spinal cord stimulation and intrathecal pumps are done in the main operating theatres and require a hospital stay of a few days.
