Recent News about Enviromedix Ltd and iTmedical
Enviromedix was established and developed by Dr David Black MD FAFOEM, founded in 1995. Enviromedix was initially co-located for the first 6 years with the New Zealand Institute of Occupational and Environmental Medicine which used the Enviromedix trademark until 2001. When the Institute closed Enviromedix joined forces with the University of Auckland's new School of Population Health at Tamaki, working from Gillies Hospital in Epsom until the new clinic at Tamaki became available. During this period the joint venture with Auckland Uniservices Limited used the Enviromedix trademark iTmedical. Enviromedix moved back to Epsom in 2007 when the University of Auckland stopped teaching Occupational Medicine. iTmedical became an early partner in the practice of Auckland Medical Specialists (AMS) at 183 Gillies Ave, across the road from Gillies Hospital.
iTmedical remains a subsidiary of Enviromedix Limited . iTmedical welcomes clinical referrals on matters of Occupational and Environmental Medicine requiring a specialist opinion. iTmedical also provides advice to employers, unions, workers and insurers on medico-legal matters relating to work related accidents and illness and is often called on to give expert evidence in hearings and court.
Enviromedix headquarters have moved to the Waiuku business park in West Franklin in the south west of Auckland City. Enviromedix can still be contacted through AMS or on 0800 123 EVX (0800 123 389). The postal address is PO Box 6, Waiuku, 2341. The consultants are mobile accessible via the Enviromedix Blackberry Enterprise system and GroupWise network.
