Waitemata DHB Acute Allied Health provides the following services: 

 

Acute Allied Health Services operate at both North Shore and Waitakere Hospitals.

  • Services Not Covered By Acute Allied Health

    Acute Allied Health covers the areas listed above. If Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Language Therapy or Social Work is required for patients in Mental Health, Paediatrics, Community or the Rehabilitation wards, then please contact the relevant departments. More

Charges

For New Zealand citizens and permanent residents, no fees apply for services provided by Acute Allied Health. For non-residents, a cost may apply. If you have any concerns regarding the cost of your healthcare, please click here for more details.

Travel Directions

North Shore Hospital

To get to Physiotherapy Outpatients or the Acute Allied Health Department, park in the main carpark and walk towards the hospital building. Instead of entering through the main entrance, make your way to the left and enter through ENTRANCE 3.

Once through Entrance 3, walk straight, passing through 3 sets of doors until you reach the end of the corridor. You are now at the Acute Allied Health/Physiotherapy Reception Desk.

Waitakere Hospital

Option 1: Enter through the main entrance and follow signs to THERAPY DEPARTMENT.

Option 2: Enter through Entrance F and follow signs to THERAPY DEPARTMENT.
