Dr Bede McIvor is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Psychiatry and a member of the Faculty of Psychiatry of Old Age.

Dr McIvor has expertise in General Psychiatry, Psychiatry of the Elderly, Forensic Psychiatry and Neuropsychiatry.

Particular areas of interest include the assessment and treatment of mood disorders, anxiety disorders (including OCD and PTSD), cognitive disorders (as the result of possible dementia, head injury or other neurological conditions) and psychotic disorders.

Medico-legal issues related to the Protection of Personal and Property Rights Act (i.e. competency and testamentary capacity) and criminal procedures also make up a significant portion of Dr McIvor’s practice.
