Description

ProCare is New Zealand’s largest cooperative of family doctors (GPs), nurses and general practice teams. We provide community-based healthcare to more than 800,000 people across the Auckland region. ProCare also serves the largest Pacific and South Asian populations enrolled in general practice in New Zealand and the largest Māori population in Tāmaki Makaurau

We are committed to improving the health of Aucklanders with a local and personal approach to delivering world leading health services via quality general practice, backed by clinical excellence and expert business support. As an organisation we are committed to transforming healthcare so people can live great lives and we do this through partnership and innovation.

The 175 practices which make up the ProCare network extends from as far north as Helensville, to Tuakau in the south, ensuring a broad coverage across the greater Auckland region.

As a PHO (primary health organisation) we advocate on the behalf of general practices to Government, act as their integration point with the DHBs and other healthcare organisations, and take a leadership role to coordinate their responses during crises or pandemics.
