Dr Deirdré Rohlandt is a graduate of the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. She moved to New Zealand in 1995 on a working holiday and fell in love with the country. After completing her specialist training on the South Island, Deirdré finally settled in Hamilton.
Deirdré worked for the DHB for many years as a Specialist, with some time spent as Clinical Unit Leader. Her passions were undergraduate and postgraduate training, and she held an honorary lecturer position with the University of Auckland, and completed her certificate in Clinical Education. Deirdré also held the position of Training Supervisor and Mentor for junior doctors, highlighting one of her core values: compassion in healthcare.
Deirdré is now focussed on providing patient-centred care with a holistic focus. Working in private practice provides her with the freedom to spend more time with patients and she finds the continuity of care very gratifying.
Deirdré provides gynaecological consultations, colposcopies and urodynamics. She is committed to ongoing education and training to widen and deepen her scope to enable better patient care and more in depth knowledge around her specific interests, including menopause and vulval health.
