About The Foundation
Every day, six New Zealand children and adults are diagnosed with leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma or a related blood condition.
With a vision to cure and mission to care, the Leukaemia & Blood Foundation (LBF) aims to improve the quality of life for people living with these conditions by providing patient support, education and information, acting as advocates, building awareness and funding vital research.
LBF is the only organisation in New Zealand dedicated to the support of patients living with blood cancers or conditions. With a team of four Patient Support Co-ordinators spread across the country, they handle a staggering 900 contacts a month with patients and families.
LBF receive no government funding. Their vital work in the community is only made possible through fundraising activity and the generous support received from individuals, companies, community groups, trusts and foundations.
