Phase 1 March 2011 to September 2011: Mental Health Promotion

• Mental health workshops for Imams and community leaders
• mental health specific cultural awareness workshops for health professionals
• development of Muslim mental health resource book
• mental health awareness stalls and road shows at Islamic centres and cultural events
• working closely with Imams to raise mental health awareness in the community
• establishing working relationship with Muslim social services and to raise mental health awareness.
