Description

The main objective of Te Kotuku Ki Te Rangi is to provide support and care for Maori (and non-Maori) who suffer from mental health disabilities.

Te Kotuku Ki Te Rangi was established to meet a need identified by the founders for culturally appropriate treatment practices for people of Maori descent suffering from a Mental Health disability. Although targeted at Maori, anybody of any cultural or ethnic background may choose to enter.

Our services can be broken down into five core products:

  2. Accommodation Packages
  3. Packages of Care
  4. Iwi Support
  5. Social Housing

Referral Process

Te Kotuku Ki Te Rangi operates within the Waitemata DHB area.  Tangata Whaiora often come from other areas so we often travel around the motu to enable healing and connection back to their papa kaenga, turangawaewae, and urupa within the North Island.Tangata Whaiora are able to choose the services of Te Kotuku Ki Te Rangi from any Inpatient Unit or from the community through referral agencies such as Coordination Services (CS) and Community Mental Health Centres (CMHCs).

Tangata Whaiora that need assistance and support linking back to their cultural roots are able to self refer, please contact reception on 09 820 0045 for further assistance.
