Our pharmacy is extremely proud to have provided quality pharmaceutical services to Pukekohe, all Franklin and the Northern Waikato regions for over 130 years. We will not compromise your health for a return to any overseas owners.

We can provide you with compliance packaging and medication charts and you may wish to register with us as your selected pharmacy "MASS" Medicines Adherence Support Service (Long Term Care) and "MUR" (Medicines Use Reviews) provider; both services are funded by Counties Manukau Health DHB.

Our pharmacy utilises the latest technology and provides a computer assisted robotic compliance medication pack dispensing system.

1Chart is a cloud based system that gives community pharmacists, general practitioners and aged-care professionals real time access to their patients' medication information. And it's done securely with both a high level of data encryption and privacy protection.  1Chart could also be used for home care patients, Long Term Care (LTC) patients and individuals.

Alpaca Robotic Compliance Medication Dispensing enables us to provide compliance packaging more quickly; Alpaca packs are easier to read and help make medicines home management much easier.

Pharmacists can help to support the health of your family; they can provide advice and treatment for common minor illnesses for all ages.

Our pharmacy staff are experienced and able to advise on many health and social issues - we have vast knowledge of the publicly available health services and can put you in touch with appropriate providers. All advice and treatment is conducted in a professional and confidential manner and most pharmacy services are provided free of charge and do not generally require an appointment.

Pharmacists ensure that prescriptions are dispensed correctly and that the medicine and dose is appropriate for you, so that you receive the maximum benefits from your medicines. Your pharmacist will help you understand what your medicines are prescribed for, how to take them, possible side effects and how to store them.

For safe disposal, please return any expired or unwanted medicines, or needles/lancets and syringes to your pharmacy. There is no charge for this service.

Please don't hesitate to contact us directly in person or by phone if you have any questions.

Fees and Charges Description

Prescription charges apply in some cases.

Prescription Charges are a tax set by the Government (not the pharmacist) - they do not reflect the cost of any medicine. Currently overseas owned pharmacy chain groups are discounting prescription fees (Government Prescription Charges) in an effort to influence the Australian Government where such practices are illegal, this practice is not sustainable and the pharmaceutical industry in our country is under threat.

The first Labour Government under Michael Joseph Savage and Peter Fraser introduced Pharmaceutical Benefits under which prescriptions were FREE. The Lange Labour Government introduced a Prescription Charge in 1985 thereafter various governments both National and Labour have tinkered with Prescription Charges to restrict access to health - this false economy affects the whole country. We see more costly wastage of expensive medicines and dispensing data for various health groups is distorted by medicines supplied directly by GPs in remote areas to avoid fees.

We believe our pharmacy offers very good added value.

Long-term conditions (LTC) service

This service is designed for people with long-term illnesses who may need support with their medicines. An assessment is used to identify the things that affect their ability to take medication as prescribed. Pharmacists work together with the patient to address each issue. The pharmacist is able to assist you with managing your medications and can coordinate your medications so that your prescription repeats happen all at the same time and therefore require only one trip to have your prescriptions refilled. They can also provide you with a reminder service (via text message, email or phone call) to let you know when your next supply of medications is ready for collection. If you are having difficulties managing your medicines (e.g. forgetting to take them), please ask your pharmacist whether this service is right for you.
