Pukekohe Maternity Resource Centre

The Pukekohe Maternity Resource Centre (PMRC) was set up with Ministry of Health funding in 2008. It is unique and the first of its kind in the country. The Centre is now open thanks to the collaboration of CMH and self employed midwives in this area.  The Maternity Resource Centre provides women and their families of the old Franklin District with information from pre-pregnancy through to six months following birth.

 Services available:

  • Drop-in facility 9-4pm Monday to Friday
  • Free pregnancy testing
  • Library of 400 books and DVDs available for loan
  • Pelvic Rocker
  • Support in finding an LMC Midwife
  • Access to midwives with diverse experience including home and water birth
  • Advice and resources on local support groups
  • Information about maternity services in New Zealand
