Description

Dr Smedley has completed degrees in both medicine and dentistry and is a fully qualified and registered medical and dental specialist in maxillofacial & oral surgery. In addition to this he has good experience in emergency medicine.

He has a major subspecialty interest in the treatment of TMJ problems, both non-surgical as well as surgical and is one of only four surgeons in Australia and New Zealand to be elected to the American Society of TMJ Surgeons (the world's most prestigious society for diseases of the TMJ).

Within the oral cavity, his special interest is pre-prosthetic surgery (before denture surgery) with emphasis on implant retained dentures.

Charges

Initial Consultation Fee: $155.00

A Panex (full jaw) X-ray may be required at a cost of $82.00

If you have medical insurance you may find that these initial fees are covered under your specialist policy.

At consultation a detailed quotation will be given for any required surgical procedure.
