Rotorua Pain Specialists Ltd is run by Dr. Stephan Neff, Consultant Anaesthetist and Pain Physician. We specialise in providing careful assessment of patients with persistent pain and provide an extensive management plan for such patients.  This plan may include medications and injections, as well as close co-operation with physiotherapy, psychology and rehabilitation specialists to give the patients the best chance of getting on with their life. 

Patients should be referred by their GP or a specialist.  If we receive a referral by an allied health professional we contact the GP for further information and for his approval. 

We hold the Interventional Pain Management Contract with ACC.  As such, patients do not require prior approval by their case manager, provided the patient has a valid claim number for the pain she/he is referred to us for. 

Initial Pain Assessment:  $300 + GST per hour.

Follow-up Assessments: $150 + GST per 30 mins.
