We help you to discover your skill sets through work experience, trialling every aspect of a business and gaining an understanding of the expectations of employers and the work environment. While you volunteer and participate we record the skillsets to add to your CV and support you into employment.

We assist with any issues that might be creating barriers to employment and family wellbeing. This includes support with interacting with organisations such as the Department of Corrections, Courts, Police, Health providers, Work and Income, Educational trainers.  We will assist you to find the support you need.

We provide basic work and life skills including numeracy, literacy and NZQA qualifications to level three.

Diverse skill sets are developed including leadership and business management.

• JP service

We provide Justice of the Peace (JP) services and guidance with court procedures and documentation. 

We are a Community Work Agency for Department of Corrections to allow people to complete their Court imposed hours while learning new skills and benefitting the community.  We encourage participants to apply to the Courts to convert unsustainable court fines into community service hours.

We assist families with any issues they have or find the agencies that can help them.

We have trained budget advisors and qualified educators who can provide both group and individual support. They can assist with developing individual and family financial capability to assist future wellbeing and financial resilience.

Understanding documentation for hire purchase and disclosure of interest rates and the compounding effect on family budgets.

A major focus of the work platforms is environmental. This links our people to their cultural roots and provides native plants and planting services to the communities that support us on our life journey.

Nurture the environment and give life to the people. The therapeutic nursery promotes mental and physical wellbeing  and agility.

As part of the whāngai support we offer drug and alcohol support with two of our staff who are qualified drug testers to assist with monitoring individual progress.

Te Whāngai focuses on the cause and effect of abuse and violence. Building self-esteem and creating independence and place making is a key component.

Te Whāngai programmes are based on positive self-management education. Coached model positive parenting throughout the programme establishing rules, boundaries and acceptable behaviour.
