Description

Empowered Learning Trust delivers specialised screening projects in schools in the Central North Island to help identify and support young people living with learning, visual and auditory processing difficulties.

We work collaboratively with schools and local community groups to ensure the best outcomes for these young people by providing targeted support at school, and corrective lenses and Irlen tints for those that need them. We aim to provide these services at no cost to whānau.

Health screening

Screening services provided for visual, auditory and learning processing issues: Irlen & Vision - we screen children for vision issues and refer them on to the appropriate professionals. Our trust will fit corrective lenses for FREE for those in our region that fit our criteria. APD Screening - we do ear checks and screen for Auditory Processing Disorder and help schools to provide support for those affected by APD. SLD Screening - children are screened using Lucid software and supported if necessary.
