Description

The St John Health Shuttle is a community service that transports people to essential medical and health-related appointments, and then brings them home again.

We operate a shuttle service in Rotorua and Taupō.

(Under 18 years old need to travel with a parent or guardian) We do not transport children under 7 years old.

This is a door to door service. We are a koha based service

We have a closed down period between mid December and mid January 2027

Youth / Rangatahi, Adult / Pakeke, Older adult / Kaumātua

Make an appointment

First appointment time is 0830 and last appointment time is 1430 with a return trip, or 3pm for a one way trip

Appointments need to be made at least 24 hours before the appointment

(No bookings taken on the day)

We rely on donations to keep the Health Shuttles operating

The shuttle picks people up half an hour before the appointment.

Bookings are required with at least 24 hours notice.

Public Holidays: Closed Waitangi Day (6 Feb), Good Friday (3 Apr), Easter Sunday (5 Apr), Easter Monday (6 Apr), ANZAC Day (observed) (27 Apr), King's Birthday (1 Jun), Matariki (10 Jul), Labour Day (26 Oct), Auckland Anniversary (1 Feb).
