Hearing Therapy is a free, independent national service funded by the Whaikaha Ministry of Disabled people and delivered by Your Way | Kia Roha - Hearing. We provide hearing evaluations, information and support to any New Zealand citizens and permanent residents aged 16 years and over who experience difficulty in communicating effectively because of a hearing problem.
A qualified hearing therapist will work directly with you to evaluate your hearing and make a plan with you to reach your hearing-related goals and make your daily life more manageable. We offer:
- A hearing evaluation with a qualified hearing therapist.
- Information on hearing aids and other technology, including available funding options.
- Practical advice and tips for living with hearing conditions like tinnitus.
- We can assist you, your family, whānau, and friends to understand and respond to hearing needs.
- Referrals to other health services if needed.
Hearing Therapy clinics are available in communities throughout New Zealand. Find a clinic location near you.
