Located in Gisborne, PhysioFIRST is a trusted provider of physiotherapy and hand therapy services. Established in 1979, the clinic has evolved over the years, expanding its team and expertise to meet the growing needs of the East Coast community.

The PhysioFIRST team comprises registered New Zealand physiotherapists with over 60 years of combined experience who are committed to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development, ensuring that each patient receives the most effective and up-to-date care.

PhysioFIRST offers a wide range of services to support your recovery and wellbeing including:

Physiotherapy: assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for musculoskeletal injuries, chronic pain, post-operative recovery, and more.

Hand Therapy: specialised care for upper extremity conditions, including scar and wound management, splinting, functional retraining, and joint mobilisations.

Workplace Services: ergonomic assessments and training to promote safe working practices and prevent injuries.
Products & Equipment: a selection of physiotherapy products and equipment to aid in your recovery.

The team at PhysioFIRST believe in a holistic approach to health and their therapists work closely with you to develop personalised treatment plans that align with your goals, whether it's returning to work, resuming recreational activities, or enhancing your overall fitness.

Services are available to both ACC and private patients, with flexible appointment options to suit your needs.

Extra charges may be incurred for materials and/or if more time is required.

There is a $30 charge for no shows or late cancellations. This fee can be waived if you give us a 4 hours notice in advance that you cannot make the appointment.
