Anthony Wong is a New Zealand born Chinese dentist who trained and graduated in Otago in 1975.
After qualifying, Anthony chose Te Atatū Peninsula to start practising dentistry and has been providing his service to Te Atatu residents and patients from the surrounding suburbs since 1977.
Anthony prides himself on providing an impeccable service to his patients and is passionate about the dental care he provides. He continually strives to provide high quality workmanship.
Anthony is passionate about giving back to the community and not only does he donate to various charitable causes in the local schools, for the last few years he has also given his Christmas vacation time to overseas voluntary missions. Anthony has volunteered his skills to the deprived and underprivileged, including orphaned children, to the rural communities of Cambodia where he provides not only dental treatment but also mentors their training dental students.
He has also now extended his skills by mentoring, lecturing and training dental nurses in East Timor's Dili University. He travelled to East Timor twice in 2013, July and early Dec, and will go again in late Oct 2014. This is an extension of the dental programme with the ”One 2 One Cambodia" organisation.
This is a self funding voluntary mission which Anthony takes great pride in undertaking.
