Assoc Prof Nigel Lever

Current Director of the Heart Rhythm Section, he specialises in ablation work for atrial arrhythmias (AF ablation) and ventricular tachycardia as well as general ablation work.  He implants cardiac devices and performs lead extraction work.  He is an active member of the Cardiac Society (CSANZ) being involved with Heart Rhythm New Zealand and other groups (Device Complications and Lead Extraction Committees).  Nigel also has university teaching duties and is involved in basic science research with the Cardiac Structure and Function Group.
