Description

Physiotherapists help people move and participate in life and in their communities, especially when movement and function are threatened by aging, injury, disability or disease.

Taranaki DHB Physiotherapy Services includes lymphoedema management. 

Our expert team support patients before, during and after their cancer treatment, providing assessment, treatment and self management plans. Our work commonly includes exercise prescription and monitoring for early detection of lymphoedema.

The lymphoedema service operates out of the Physiotherapy Department at Taranaki Base Hospital, with regular visits to Hawera Hospital.
