ACC-registered Rongoā Māori Service, Kaupapa Māori

Today

10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Description

  • Kia ora, my name is Tracey Rihari, and I am a practitioner of Rongoā Māori, the traditional healing practices of our tīpuna (ancestors).

I am deeply committed to the wellbeing of our people and to the revitalisation of Māori healing knowledge. My practice is grounded in tikanga Māori (Māori customs), wairua (spirituality), and the sacred connection between people and the natural world.

I offer a holistic approach to health that may include mirimiri (healing massage), rongoā rākau (plant-based medicine), karakia (prayer), and whakawhiti kōrero (therapeutic conversation). Every session is guided by respect, trust, and the unique needs of each person or whānau who comes to me.

Whether you are seeking physical healing, emotional support, or spiritual balance, my aim is to create a safe, culturally grounded space where healing can take place naturally.

This is more than a service—it is a taonga (treasure), shared with humility, aroha, and the intention to uplift the mana of all who seek it.

Ko wai au?
I whakapapa to Te Rarawa, Ngāpuhi, Ngāti Hine, Ngāti Rēhia, and Ngāti Wai.
My practice is guided in the ancient ways of our tupuna — rooted in wairua, connected to the Creator, and honouring all that has been created.

I have travelled the pathways of self-healing through spirit-led guidance. These traditional methods have been both my own rongoā and what I offer to others.

I believe healing is the journey of the individual — and I am simply placed in their path for the moment they need me.
He wā poto noa iho. A moment in time.

Services Provided

ACC Rongoā Māori

ACC Rongoā Māori ACC recognise rongoā Māori as a kaupapa Māori service. It's culturally grounded care that weaves tikanga Māori, mātauranga Māori, te reo Māori, and te ao Māori through all aspects of the service. We respect that these aspects embrace ngā taonga tuku iho (intergenerational gifts and knowledge handed down from tupuna Māori). We see rongoā Māori in the wider context of traditional Māori healing methodologies. ACC don't consider healing techniques from non-Māori cultural traditions, such as reiki or hyperbaric oxygen treatment, part of rongoā Māori. Even if they're provided by rongoā Māori practitioners.
