Io Mata Hauora

Description

Jo Shelford is an ACC registered Rongoā Māori practitioner based in Thames, Hauraki and Hibiscus Coast, Auckland.

Her practice, Io Mata Hauora, is a traditional Māori Healing Hauora and includes karakia/pastoral care, Purea/cleansing and balance, whakawhiti koorero/talk therapy, and mahi-a-tinana/body work. Rongoaa used and sold is made with native leaf and Io blessed with aroha, mauri and tapu.

Jo has links to Pare Hauraki, Ngaati Tamateeraa and Ngaati Maru through her father and to Ngaati Kahu ki Whangaroa me Ngapuhi ki Whangaroa in the Far North through her Mama. She lives in Thames in Hauraki and when she travels north she lives with her whaanau in the Hibiscus Coast.
Jo is an Ariki Taputapu of the roopuu Io Matangaro - Ngaa Tohunga o Ngaa Hau e Whaa.

Thames Hauora is open Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday first 3 weeks of the month.
Ōrewa Hauora is open last Tuesday and Friday of the month.
