Rongoā Mauri was founded in 2016 by Nick Olson and Joanne Hakaraia-Olson as a whare hauora—a sacred healing space—dedicated to restoring balance and wellbeing through the ancient practices of Rongoā Māori.
We work in deep relationship with the native plants of Aotearoa, offering holistic healing for body, mind, and wairua. Rooted in tikanga Māori and the intelligence of te taiao (the natural world), our work is guided by aroha, intuition, and tradition.
We are an ACC Registered Provider of Rongoā Māori services, offering healing sessions, wānanga, and rongoā trails. Our specialty lies in traditional plant medicine—harvesting, preparing, and creating rongoā (remedies) that carry the mauri (life force) of the ngahere and the wisdom of our tūpuna.
