Today

Description

At Mana Mauri Collective, our work is guided by aroha, koha, mana, mauri and kaitiakitanga. We support whaiora, whānau, and communities, focusing on wairua, hinengaro, and tinana while valuing our Māori sovereignty.

We integrate Mātauranga Māori and Rongoā Māori practices to nurture wellbeing.

Haumiri is an energetic Māori massage that applies rhythmic pressure to enhance balance and flexibility while easing tension. It uses intuition, inspired by taiao and guided by wairua, often incorporating waiata.

Romiromi is a deep tissue massage with firm pressure and slow strokes to relieve chronic pain and muscle tightness. Practitioners use kōhatu and rakau in healing.

Honohono is a healing system linked through whakapapa, connecting you to your higher self and tūpuna.

Mahi ā wairua and whakawhitireo we use whakapapa centric kōrero and movement steepedin wairua, connected to taiao and guided through tīpuna to form a connection that is mutually consented. This starts with karakia, use of waiata, addressing emotional trauma and focusing on whole-body healing through the use of Mauri.

Services Provided

ACC Rongoā Māori

ACC Rongoā Māori ACC recognise rongoā Māori as a kaupapa Māori service. It's culturally grounded care that weaves tikanga Māori, mātauranga Māori, te reo Māori, and te ao Māori through all aspects of the service. We respect that these aspects embrace ngā taonga tuku iho (intergenerational gifts and knowledge handed down from tupuna Māori). We see rongoā Māori in the wider context of traditional Māori healing methodologies. ACC don't consider healing techniques from non-Māori cultural traditions, such as reiki or hyperbaric oxygen treatment, part of rongoā Māori. Even if they're provided by rongoā Māori practitioners.
