Pacific Trust Otago (PTO) was formed in 1999 and registered as a charitable organisation in 2002 to support the Pacific community of Otago. The primary focus of the Trust is to connect with our Otago Pacific community to offer support, activities, information, and advice.
We promote services that help Pacific people access health, education, employment, training, and social services. Our organisation is governed by representatives from seven ethnic groups from the Pacific islands, ensuring our work remains culturally grounded.
PTO is evolving from a small health provider into an organisation that fosters social enterprise and business development within the Pacific community. Our long-term goal is to increase our connections with Pacific communities while strengthening partnerships with other agencies and providers throughout Otago.
