At SASH, we're a non-profit, community organisation run by a group of trained and dedicated professionals. We support adults, whānau and young people who have been victims of sexual assault/rape. Wherever you're at in your journey, please feel welcome to reach out to our team today. All of services at SASH are free.

SASH provides a 24-hour crisis response and advocacy for individuals and their family/whānau affected by sexual abuse. This team can be accessed va the police or medical team.

Our services cover Nelson, Tasman, Marlborough and West Coast

Description:

Sexual Abuse Support and Healing (SASH) is available to support you and your family / whānau, partner, friends or anyone else that has been affected as a result of sexual abuse whether historic or recent. We provide:

Private and confidential one-to-one support and understanding to help you start the healing process for recent and historic sexual abuse.
Support when making statements with the Police
Long term support and guidance to navigate your journey of healing from sexual harm that can result in support and a referral to an ACC Sensitive claims counsellor. We discuss your specific needs, so we can ensure that when you are ready we can engage you with the right counsellor to meet your needs.
Assistance to access other social and community services.
SASH provides a range of support and services to assist people who have experienced sexual abuse as they enter the court process, and have a dedicated Court Support specialist.
Education and training programmes in sexual violence prevention in the community.
24-hour Crisis Support - immediate help and support following sexual harm, call-out service to support people through medical processes and police interview access via the police or a medical team.
