Communicare is a not-for-profit association serving isolated and lonely seniors within Auckland since 1959. We run Friendship Centres around Auckland, serving more than 320 members weekly with the assistance of over 100 volunteers and a small team of part-time staff.
Friendship Centres are located in most Auckland areas.

Communicare depends on volunteer helpers for the running of our Friendship Centres. Do you have some time to give to helping others? If so, Be Involved.

A coordinator runs the centre alongside a group of volunteers.

Fees and Charges Description
First visit is free.
Annual membership is $30 which allows you to visit any centre.
$7 door cover cost at venue.
Extra costs may occur for raffles and trading tables at some centres.
Outings are extra.
If you are unable to afford this do not be put off. Talk to the staff.
