Te Whare Tiaki Rongoma Tāne (Men’s Centre) offers an immediate response and frontline service for men.
The Men’s Centre is a drop-in centre from 9 – 3 pm every week day. It provides a safe space for a chat and whānau support. Tāne can present with any issue for support including employment, behaviours, legal, violence issues, health, disability or mental health.
We are a non-judgemental service and offer a cuppa tea right through to a chat and Tiaki Tāne men’s individual appointments 6-8 pm on Monday and a group session 6-8 pm on Wednesday evenings.
The Tāne who work for Rongoma Tāne are under the Safe Man Safe Family coalition providing services to men who want to make changes in their lives. They may be mandated to attend living without violence courses, or they may be recognizing behaviours that are impacting on partners and children and want to change.
Te Whare Tiaki Rongoma Tāne is provided by Te Whare Tiaki Wāhine Refuge Charitable Trust.
