Community Health Service

8:30 AM to 2:30 PM.

Age Concern Tauranga Incorporated is a not for profit organisation that works for the rights and well-being of older people. Along with a network of 35 Age Concern offices across New Zealand, and a national office, we inform and advocate, and provide services to older people.

Age Concern Tauranga Inc became a registered charity on 12 June 2008 (Regn # CC25758) under the Charities Act 2006.

Our Mission: Age Concern promotes wellbeing, rights, respect and dignity for older people.

Age Concern Tauranga has grown from very small beginnings in 1986 to a recognised agency that represents and supports older people. Our service area is Tauranga City and the Bay of Plenty. Our population has the second fastest growth rate of all New Zealand's District Health Boards.

Our Vision: An inclusive society where older people are connected, empowered, and respected.

Positive ageing is about making the most of the benefits of being older, learning to adapt to life changes. People age well when they contribute and participate in society with respect and support from their families and the community.
