Pop-up Community Testing Centre
Free COVID-19 TESTING is available at a number of locations in the Eastern Bay over the holiday season. During this time TPOOM (Te Puna Ora o Mataatua) mobile teams will be up and running across Whakatāne, Kawerau and Ōpōtiki.
The testing is surveillance testing - which means you don't need COVID-19 symptoms to be tested. If you do have severe symptoms though, please call Healthline on 0800 611 116 or contact your GP.

Wed 6 January 8:30am – 12pm – mobile swab unit only
Thurs 7 January 8:30am – 12pm – mobile swab unit
Fri 8 January No testing available today – please isolate at home until you can be tested tomorrow or phone Healthline 0800 611 116 to be advised what to do.
Sat 9 January 9am – 2pm
Sun 10 January 9am – 2pm
From Monday 11 January there will be normal availability through General Practices.
All other areas are business as usual.

Some GP clinics will be open for testing of their own patients, but for those that are not, Call your GP and calls will be diverted to Healthline so that people can be assessed and advised where they can receive a test. People can also call Healthline directly on 0800 358 5453.
