If you are experiencing Covid-19 symptoms;

  • a new or worsening cough
  • fever (at least 38˚C)
  • shortness of breath
  • a sore throat
  • sneezing and runny nose
  • temporary loss of smell.

Free Testing and Assessment Centres are operating throughout the Eastern Bay of Plenty. Simply phone 0800 MATAATUA or email to ask for a booking or click here for details.

Opotiki clinics have advised they have capacity to treat casual patients. If you need to see a doctor in Opotiki, contact one of the local practices and discuss your needs (you should not be charged for a Covid-19 test).

Some GP clinics will be open for testing of their own patients, but for those that are not, Call your GP and calls will be diverted to Healthline so that people can be assessed and advised where they can receive a test. People can also call Healthline directly on 0800 358 5453.
