Description

Diabetes NZ - Auckland Branch's mission is to raise awareness of, advocating for, and supporting people with all types of diabetes, to improve their wellness/hauora.

We have a Mobile Awareness Service (Van) that visits community locations to reach those most at risk to provide education and testing.  This service raises awareness of prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, its symptoms, risk factors and complications.

Our HOPE programme is a diabetes prevention programme delivered face-to-face in community locations as well as online. It is whānau centred.  Our aim of the HOPE programme is to foster healthier lifestyles amongst those most ‘at risk’, leading to a reduction in the incidence of diabetes and diabetes complications.

We have 10 support groups located all around Auckland - youth (Diabetes Youth Auckland Support Evenings for parents and caregivers of kids newly diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes) to adult support groups (mixed type 1 and type 2).  New members are always welcome!

Diabetes Youth Auckland aims to build confidence and independence and provide inspiration for youth and their families living with diabetes through running a programme that encompasses support, education, events and camps (youth and teen camps).  Diabetes Youth Auckland is a part of Diabetes NZ - Auckland Branch.

We also run an essential diabetes supplies online shop has a range of diabetes related products. For all enquiries, contact us at
