Our mission is that every person in New Zealand affected by, or at risk of diabetes has access to the information and support needed to manage their health and well-being.

Diabetes New Zealand Otago aim to raise awareness of all types of diabetes supporting wellness/hauora for Otago.

We offer a range of programmes covering awareness, prevention, early detection, education, support and advocacy.

Diabetes Otago holds a podiatry clinic on the first Tuesday and Wednesday of every month.  This is an affordable low cost service provided for people with diabetes and non-diabetics.




Older adult


Diabetes Otago holds two camps a year for diabetic children.

A summer camp is held in January over four days for children aged 8-12 years of age.

A winter ski/snowboarding…
