Description
Platinum Community Care offers a Country Retreat Day Centre and in-home respite care for clients and families who wish to remain independent in their own homes for as long as possible.
We can provide a pick up and drop off service to our day centre for the Rodney and Hibiscus Coast areas.
Our day centre is set on a lifestyle block and provides a variety of stimulating client-centred activities, which include Cognitive Stimulation Therapy, Animal Therapy and meaningful occupations throughout the day. We work with and alongside people living with Dementia, Stroke, Parkinson's, TBI etc.
We accept referrals through the WDHB Needs Assessment Services as well as from GPs and Specialists and we work closely with Dementia Auckland.
Platinum can also provide in-home respite care for evenings and overnight care.
Staff
All Platinum staff are trained in elderly and dementia care. They have regular training sessions and kept up to date in the latest research in dementia.
We also have throughout the year Occupational Therapy students from both Otago University and AUT.

Fees and Charges Description
Our in-home care charges are based on individual situations. You are welcome to ask us for a quote.
Our day centre charges are $120 per day. However you may be eligible for carer support which can be used as a part payment.
Depending on the DHB needs assessment services, respite day stay funding may be available for our day centre.

Clients are picked up from 9am and dropped back home from 3.30pm. Extended hours can be arranged at an hourly rate.
