Rheumatology
QE Health is the Rheumatology Department for Lakes DHB.
QE Health provides outpatient rheumatology first assessments and follow ups for Lakes DHB clients. QE Health also provides a number of wraparound services associated with this that include physiotherapy and occupational therapy services for rheumatological conditions with the aim of providing benefit in terms of pain relief, quality of life, self-management of the condition and improved independence at home.
Specialist consultation clinics and services are provided to Rotorua and Taupō (Taupō clinic is once weekly based out of Taupō Hospital) under contract for the Lakes District Health Board.
