Tairua Care and Friendship Club has been assisting Tairua and surrounding communities since the early 1990s. We provide transportation to and from hospital for anyone in the community. We have two vans, one with a hoist for wheelchairs. We offer a door-to-door service.
The Tairua Care & Friendship Club consists of nearly sixty volunteers; caring individuals who have put in long hours over the years at cake stalls and other fundraisers to purchase a mobility van to serve those who are stranded, wheelchair bound, and otherwise “wheel-less” and, of equal importance, to offer “friendship”.
