Getting a COVID-19 vaccine is an important step you can take to protect yourself, your kaumātua and whānau from the effects of the virus.
Vaccinations for 12 to 15-year-olds
A message to parents and caregivers
If you are adding a 12 to 15-year old to your own booking, please call 0800 28 29 26 (8am-8pm, 7 days a week) before you come to check if the vaccination site has space to do this. If not, you can cancel your booking and create a new one later that can fit you all in.
There is no guarantee vaccination sites will be able to take extra family members alongside people who already have a booking. Some are quite small and it depends on how many other people are booked in around the same time.
Everyone in New Zealand aged 12+ is now eligible for their free vaccination.
We are now taking walk-ins. Our ability to vaccinate walk-ins depends on bookings on the day so to reserve your slot, you can also book online at bookmyvaccine.nz or phone 0800 28 29 26.
At COVID-19 Alert Level 3:
- 2m physical distancing mandatory
- You must wear a face mask throughout the vaccination process
The majority of routine vaccinations can now be administered before, after, or at the same time as your COVID-19 vaccinations. The exception to this is the Zostavax (shingles) vaccine where a 7-day gap before or after receiving the Pfizer COVID-19 is advised. If you have any questions, please discuss with your health provider.
