COVID-19 testing update :
Access to Covid-19 Testing within the Western Bay of Plenty for the week commencing 23rd August, 2021:
- Contact you General Practice to enquire about receiving a Covid-19 test at their Practice.
- Visit the Covid Testing Centre at The Crossing Covid Testing Centre (Undercover carpark, Tauriko) – Monday - Sunday 23-29th August between the hours 0900 to 1500. No appointment necessary.
- Accident and Healthcare, 2nd Avenue, Tauranga – Monday - Sunday 23-29th August between the hours 0900 - 1500. No appointment necessary.
Western BOP Primary Health Organisation is a health care organisation focused on providing care in the primary or community setting. Our Health and Wellness Service is Nurse-led and focused on providing community-based primary health care services.
We deliver a wide and expanding range of health and wellness services which include :
- Outreach and Community Clinics
- Support for Breast and Cervical Screening
- Self Management Groups
We have a range of clinical staff including:
- Registered Nurses
- Dietitians
- Accredited Diabetes Nurse Specialist
- Nurse Practitioners
- Clinical Exercise Physiologist
Clinical Services include:
- Diabetes, heart and/or breathing conditions
- Hospital admission follow up
- ED referrals
- Cervical smears including transport and home visits
- Support to Breast Screening including transport
- Wound care
- Heart and BP checks
- Blood tests
- Smoking cessation
- Support with GP enrolment
- ACC
We also provide a Co-ordinated Primary Options Mental Health Programme or see here for all WBOPPHO Medical Centres.
