Profile

I was born in Tonga and I am fluent in the Tongan language. I migrated to New Zealand with my family and grew up in the Hutt Valley, Wellington. I graduated from Medical School at the University of Auckland and I have spent a lot of time as a junior doctor working in Paediatrics in Auckland as well as Locuming around New Zealand from Whangārei Hospital down to Southland Hospital. I have a special interest in Children's health from newborns to young adults. In 2018 I began working in General Practice out in South Auckland and I am in the final stages of completing my vocational training. Building relationships with patients sharing their stories has been the most rewarding aspect of General Practice. Supporting patients to achieve better outcomes with their health is always the goal. When I am not working you will find me with my young family. I enjoy reading, catching up with my friends and trying new recipes in the kitchen with varying levels of success.
