Dr Chuan Lai

Chuan moved to New Zealand from Malaysia in 2001 to complete her medical training at The University of Auckland. She has lived in Dunedin since 2009. She spent 10 years working in the hospital and started GP work in 2016. She really enjoys Older Peoples Health, minor surgery, upskilling in technical skills such as dermoscopy and point of care ultrasound. She has been working in Ōamaru since the start of 2024.

She and her partner live with their two sons on a lifestyle block out of town where they like to try and live as sustainbly as possible. Chuan loves playing board games as a family and taking long walks to play Pokemon Go!
